YÖS, also known as Foreign Student Exams or Foreign Student Admission Exams, are exams conducted by Turkish universities to accept foreign students to Turkish universities. The results of Foreign Student Exams are not valid outside of Turkey

There is no limit on applications for exams, and every student can take the exams regardless of their age or nationality. There is also no limit on participating in exams from different universities multiple times, and students can take as many exams as they wish.

There are an average of 80-100 questions in the exams, and the exam duration varies between 90 minutes and 120 minutes.

  • What kind of an exam is YÖS and what does it include?

The exam content generally includes questions from Mathematics (30-40 questions), Geometry (5-15 questions) and General Ability (IQ) (40-60 questions), while questions from other courses are rarely encountered in the exams of a small number of universities. The questions asked in the Mathematics and Geometry tests are asked from the broadest curriculum and, for example, cover a wider range of topics compared to the content in the TYT-AYT exams administered in Turkey. General Ability (IQ) questions generally consist of questions that measure the candidate’s ability to comprehend numerical relationships and the ability to think abstractly. Scholastic Aptitude  Test

SAT is an internationally recognized university entrance exam. It is an exam that all students who want to continue their education in distinguished universities in the USA, Turkey and European countries must take to discover themselves and reveal their talents.

There is no age requirement to take the SAT exam, but you must be a high school graduate or senior student to take the exam in your country. You must be fluent in English to get a good score on the SAT exam.

  • The exam is also graded out of 1600 points.
  • SAT Exam is done via Computer or Tablet.
  • Exam duration is 2 hours.
  • Students Will Be Able to Use Calculators Throughout the Mathematics Department, and the Digital Exam App Will Have an Integrated Calculator.
  • There is no age limit for SAT exam.
  • SAT Exam Evaluates Candidates’ Written, Verbal and Mathematical Skills.
  • SAT exam is held 6-7 times a year on Saturdays in October, November, December, March, May, June and August.

The exam consists of grammar, essay writing and multiple choice tests.

SAT Exams are basically divided into two. SAT Reasoning and SAT Subject, which are considered as two separate exams.

SAT REASONING TEST

  • Reading – comprehension
  • Analytical writing – grammar
  • It includes mathematics and geometry topics. 3 hours and 45 minutes are given for this section.

Universities abroad evaluate all three of these sections in their applications. However, the writing section is not taken into consideration for foreign students who want to study in Turkey.

This exam is divided into 5 areas, each of which is given 1 hour:

Subject Tests , the second session of the exam,   are actually based on measuring students’ knowledge on the subjects they are interested in.

SAT Test Centers

With examination centers in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir Bursa, Mersin and Erzurum,

There are 12 exam centers and schools authorized to administer the SAT exam in Turkey. Each SAT exam center has its own code, and when registering for the exam, you must write the code of the exam center you are applying to on the registration form. Some SAT exam centers may charge an additional fee for registration.

There may be differences in test dates and test fees between SAT test centers.

Exam Content

The TOEFL exam consists of two parts.

TOEFL IBT Exam consists of 4 parts: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. It takes 4.5 hours.

TOEFL PBT Exam consists of 3 parts: Reading, Listening and Writing. TOEFL PBT exam takes 2 hours and 50 minutes.
