TR-YÖS (Türkiye Foreign Student Admission Exam)

What is TR-YÖS?

TR-YÖS is an exam that international students who want to enroll in undergraduate and associate degree programs at state universities in Turkey must take. It has been conducted by ÖSYM since 2023. This exam is only valid for universities in Turkey.

Information About TR-YÖS Exam:

Exam Dates:

• It was held once in 2023.
• It will be held twice in 2024.

Application Periods:

• Applications are opened on the ÖSYM website approximately 1 month before the exam dates.

Application Procedures:

• Applications are made online through ÖSYM’s website.
• During the application process, candidates must also upload the required documents.

Exam Format:

• It is available in Turkish and English languages.
• It consists of 80 questions.
• The exam content includes questions from Basic Mathematics (30 questions + 10 Geometry: Total 40) and Numerical Ability (IQ) (40 questions) courses.

Exam Duration:

• It is 100 minutes.

Evaluation:

• The exam score is calculated out of 500.
• The success score changes every year. It is usually 100 points.

Exam Centers:

• It is held in 78 examination centers in 52 countries, both domestic and international.

Application Fees:

• It varies depending on the country where the exam will be taken. You can check the ÖSYM website for current fees.

Exam Results:

• Exam results are announced on ÖSYM’s website.
• 10% of the exam results are announced one week after the exam, and all exam results are announced one month after the exam
